Member Benefits

The West Pond Alliance is dedicated to equitable reinvestment in the 35+ block area of Syracuse’s Northside, boundaried by Ash Street | I-81 | Kirkpatrick Street | Park Street. As a Member Alliance of the Hopeprint Association, we pass along our member benefits to our Partners, Affiliates, and Project Leaders who share in this common cause.

Alliance Partners

Businesses* which wish to have a charitable arm to their work towards our common West Pond Alliance cause are eligible to apply to be a Partner, and access the benefits outlined on the chart provided. Essentially, the West Pond Alliance can help you access tax benefits for the charitable efforts that you are already committed to for the betterment of our community! For Partners who would like some more robust supports and coaching, these services are available a la carte or through the myHopeprint Incubator run by the Hopeprint Association.

*Businesses who are eligible to be partners include legally established Sole Proprieterships, LLCs, Partnerships, B-Corps, and Corporations. Not-for-Profit/501c3 Organizations and Governmental Entities are not eligible for Partners, but are welcomed as Affiliates.

Alliance Affiliates

Established Not-for-Profit Organizations, Governmental Entities, and unofficial neighborhood groups who wish to collaborate towards this common vision, are welcome to become a part of the Alliance as Affiliates. This status opens up the opportunity for collaborative grants, fiscal sponsorships, and more, as well as being celebrated as an active partner in the cause.

Alliance Projects

Each year, the Alliance identifies short-term projects that it will pursue in an effort to move the needle forward. Sometimes, those projects will be mapped out by the Vision Council and leadership, and project leadership applications will be opened. Other times, we will solicit applications from community members to present their project ideas and proposals.

The Spring/Summer 2024 Trimester Alliance Project is the Lodi Triangle Project, which is being led in collaboration between Go ‘Cuse, Northside Cultural Arts District, Haven Community Garden, Mesopotamia, Syracuse Urbanism Club - Mini Meadows Initiative, Pyramids Halal Market, and other area businesses and stakeholders.

The Fall 2024 Trimester Alliance Project is slated to be the Pop-Ups at Pond Street, which is being led in collaboration between Mesopotamia, Greater Syracuse Land Bank, Building the Bridge, and other area businesses and stakeholders.

Be watching for other opportunities available in 2025!
